Developer's Toolkit 2021 - Adams County (Denver Metro Area)

Join the staff from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs Division of Housing October 6-7, 2021 for an exciting IN-PERSON two-day workshop designed to increase the participant's understanding of the art and science of affordable housing development. Through a series of exercises, participants will work in teams to solve the housing challenge facing a typical Colorado community. Hands-on exercises will provide a working knowledge of the critical steps necessary to develop an affordable rental housing community.

YOU WILL LEARN:

• The process of developing housing
• Real estate terminology
• Production of cost- effective, high quality housing
• Selection of contract service providers
• Cost containment techniques
• Negotiating with the various players

The training format requires that participants be able to attend both days of the class. All the course materials will be online, so please bring your laptop computer or tablet with Excel installed for both days. Please bring a refillable water bottle so that we can cut down on plastic waste.
