Detroit Youth Sports Showcase

Try out more than 30 sports and extracurricular activities from local partners, including basketball, baseball, chess, robotics, and more!
The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy and Project Play are proud to present the Detroit Youth Sports Showcase! This event is a free opportunity for youth to try out a variety of sports and outdoor physical activities with partners from across the city. Participants will explore stations throughout Ralph Wilson Park, including basketball, tennis, soccer, chess, skateboarding, lacrosse, and more, as well as free sports physicals and health and wellness resources. Drop in anytime between 10 am and 2pm, check in to grab your bingo card, and visit stations to earn prizes, including free Detroit Tigers tickets while supplies last!
All ages and experience levels are welcome. Participants are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle to fill up on-site and wear athletic apparel and closed-toed shoes. Free parking is available in the Assembly Garage at 1701 W Lafayette Blvd, Detroit, MI 48216, courtesy of Bedrock. Food will be available for purchase on-site.
Detroit Youth Sports Showcase is part of Metro Detroit Youth Day, a reimagined end-of-summer enrichment event that engages thousands of youth in fun, educational and entertaining interactive experiences to get them encouraged, energized and excited for the upcoming school year. Learn more here.
