Detroit Queer Sketch Series

Join artists and Chris Gorski of on the first Monday and third Thursday to enjoy an evening of expressing our artistic side and enjoying each other's company. will bring artists of all skill levels together at the Detroit GT Studio in Ferndale for a life drawing focus study of the human form.

Pup Retrow will be joining us as our model for Thursday, June 20th! He will be posing both with and without his pup gear!

DQSS will allow us to tap into our artistic side and feature a model who will hold poses between 5-minutes and 30-minutes, with breaks to stretch your legs, socialize with the artists, and enjoy a drink.

The goal of DQSS is to bring our community together through art. We are providing a new experience for novice artists and sharpening the skills of experienced artists while networking and building community.

Don’t have sketch materials? No worries, there will be supplies available for you, or bring your favorite sketch pad, pencils, charcoals, paints, iPad….

Detroit Queer Sketch Series, to create an inclusive environment, has adopted a pay-what-you-can system with a suggested donation of $25. Everyone 18 and over is welcome regardless of financial ability. We are primarily gay men, but people of all gender identities are welcome.

When: Doors at 6:30 sketch begins at 6:45
