The Vibe:DQSS is a cozy, inclusive space for queers and allies to unwind, connect, and let their creative side flourish. Picture an evening with chill Lofi music playing in the background, a warm and inviting group of fellow artists, and the freedom to enjoy art without pressure. It’s a perfect atmosphere for socializing, whether you’re coming to meet new friends or reconnect with regulars who’ve been part of our community over the last two years.

Here’s what you can expect:On the first Monday and third Thursday of each month, we meet at the Detroit GT Studio in Ferndale. Doors open at 6:30 pm, and we’ll begin sketching promptly at 6:45. With a model posing in intervals ranging from 3 to 30 minutes, you'll have time to capture dynamic expressions while enjoying regular breaks to stretch, chat with fellow artists, and relax with refreshments. DQSS is designed to bring people together—whether you’re a novice honing new skills or a seasoned artist refining your craft, all are welcome.

Vibe:

No Materials? No Problem!We have art supplies available for those who need them, but you’re also welcome to bring your favorite tools—be it sketch pads, pencils, charcoals, paints, or even an iPad!

Inclusive and Accessible:We operate on a pay-what-you-can basis with a suggested donation of $25, ensuring everyone 18 and up can participate regardless of financial ability. Although our group is primarily gay men, we welcome individuals of all gender identities to join us.

• When: Doors at 6:30 pm, Sketching begins at 6:45 pm
• Where: Detroit GT Studio, 2301 Wolcott, Ferndale (be sure to use the actual address in your GPS. The location name may take you to the wrong location)
• Parking: Free parking in the Detroit GT lot or free street parking. (Please DO NOT park in our neighbors lots)
• Refreshments: Non-alcoholic drinks and snacks are provided, but feel free to BYOB.
