About this Event

What up doe!! We are excited to bring you to Detroit PAL for our FREE VIP Community Day Event sponsored by Citizens Bank. Take part in a panel discussion where you will hear from, former, and current, NFL players, NFL’s First Female African American coach, Media Moguls, Financial Wizards,and others. This event will be moderated by Detroit’s very own and PAL Alumni Dr. Darrius from 97.9 WJLB. Meet the panelist after the event and get a chance to take pictures, and get autographed keepsakes.

Enjoy giveaways and raffles! Be sure to stop by career tables, where you can talk to leading organizations such as Citizens Bank, University of Michigan, USFL Michigan Panthers, and others about careers in sports, financial literacy, entrepreneurship and more. This will be an unforgettable experience that you are sure to enjoy during draft week.

This event is designed for youth ages 12-18 years of age.

***Please NO youth under 12 years of age.

Lunch and light snacks will be provided.

** Registered guests will also have access to our concourse and field, which is designated as an official NFL overflow location for the 2024 NFL DRAFT AFTER the event.

Parking and Directions:

Please keep in mind that Detroit PAL will be another site for the 2024 Draft. Be sure to allow yourself enough time for parking.


Prohibited Items :

The following items MAY be permitted AFTER Inspection

  • Small bags, purses and fanny packs, must comply with the maximum size for entry, 8 ½” x 14” x10”
  • Clear bags, fanny packs or purses.
  • Diaper Bags (Only if accompanied by a child)
  • Medically necessary items including insulin Medic*tion, portable oxygen, small soft pack coolers and breast pumps
  • Binoculars and binocular cases
  • Cameras and small camera cases (must comply with five-inch camera lens limit.
  • Small radios (must be used with an earpiece or headphones)
  • Umbrellas, small compact only. Must be placed securely under the seat.
  • Handheld posters & signs without poles of sticks. Must not block another guest view
  • Battery operated clothing or signs if approved after thorough inspection
  • Tablets (IPads, kindles, etc.) Inappropriate subject matter should not be displayed and must not block another's guest’s.
  • Drones and/or remote controlled aircraft. Electronic equipment including laptops computers, video recorders, tripods, and wearable video cameras including go pros


The following items WILL NOT be permitted (Including but limited to)

  • Aerosol cans (hairspray, mace pepper spray etc.)
  • Animals (except certified service animals to aid guest with disabilities)
  • Backpacks, luggage, grocery paper bags, duffle bags, large bags, large purses, or large camera cases.
  • Balloons (air or helium)
  • Balls ( with exception for footballs used to get autographs during event)
  • Banners or lage flags
  • Cameras with lenses longer than five inches or any detachable lens
  • Decals, stickers, confetti or glitter.
  • Fireworks
  • Food beverages or liquids (cans, bottles, boxes, flasks etc.)
  • Handouts, items or goods intended for unauthorized sale, promotion, exchange or giveaway illegal substances.
  • Knives, pocket knives, box cutters, scissors, etc.
  • Laser pointers
  • Makers (permanet) and/or paint
  • Noise Making devices (bells, horns, kazoos, whistles, etc.)
  • Objects that can be used as missiles or projectiles (sticks, poles, bats, clubs, frisbees, etc.)
  • Offensive or profane messages or images on signs and clothing that are distasteful or indecent.
