Walk the red carpet, join us for hors d'oeuvres before the movies and be among the first in the country to see ALL the animated and live action Oscar Nominated Short films. This special fundraiser is hosted by the Friends of the Detroit Film Theatre and all proceeds go directly to the upkeep and continued restoration of the beautiful 1927 movie palace!The Detroit Film Theatre is the only theater that can show all the Oscar short films back to back and on Friday February 20th we will be celebrating the kick off of Oscar season. The ticket includes:
*Ticket for the 7 p.m. screening of the Oscar-nominated Live Action and Animated Short Films at the DFT
*Red carpet event at the Scarab Club from 5 pm to 7 p.m. before the screening, featuring pre-film hors d'oeuvres and drinks
beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options
*Reserved seating section at the DFT
*Photograph on the red carpet
