Community Listening Session - Let's Talk!

Come join Prevention at the Intersections at The Congregation for a Community Listening Session, hosted by where we can all talk openly and share our thoughts and ideas and concerns about the current national and local political environment. This in-person event is a great opportunity to connect with others in the community and listen to different perspectives. Let's chat and learn from one another in a friendly and welcoming environment. Don't miss out on this chance to engage in meaningful conversations!

There are rules.

Fostering Respectful Dialogue: We value respectful communication and encourage differing viewpoints, but we ask everyone to engage without arguing, raising voices, or using disrespectful language. It’s natural to have disagreements on ideas, but let’s keep our interactions constructive and positive. We want solution oriented discussions. For everyone’s comfort and safety, security will be present, but we sincerely hope to create an environment where their presence isn't needed.

Open Hearts Welcome: We invite you to come with an open heart and a willingness to connect. Remember, we are all in this together, and it’s essential that we learn to support one another, collaborate on solutions, and share valuable information.

Sharing Resources: If you have resources or information you'd like to share, we encourage you to bring them along! If you have links or documents that you want distributed, please email the event organizer before the session. We’ll ensure that they reach all registered participants. If you wish to bring flyers, please arrive a few minutes early so we can review them together to ensure they align with our shared vision of liberation, peace, and justice.

Honoring Individual Experiences: In this space, we can only speak for ourselves. It’s important that we honor each other's unique experiences and perspectives without imposing our interpretations on others. This practice creates a safer environment amidst the complexities of our world.
