About this Event
The Detroit Black Farmer Land Fund is a special grant opportunity that aims to address systemic inequities in land ownership by helping Black farmers in Detroit secure property. Since its inception, the fund has played a pivotal role in empowering Black growers, fostering food sovereignty, and creating sustainable agricultural practices in the community.
The application tour will be stopping at the Sherwood Forest location, making it convenient for community members to learn about the program, access resources, and complete their applications. This session will include:
- Guidance on completing applications to maximize the chances of success.
- One-on-one support from DBFLF representatives.
- Opportunities to network with other aspiring farmers and local agricultural advocates.
- Information on funding, resources, and next steps for land acquisition.
