Detroit Alumni Homecoming 2024

Your opportunity to celebrate, network and socialize with fellow UOPX graduates is just around the corner! Your Detroit Chapter is hosting a free lunch riverboat cruise!

You and one guest are invited to join us for a lunch boat cruise. Enjoy food, networking, and fun on the water.

Agenda

11:00am: Check-in at Detroit Princess Riverboat

• Look for the University of Phoenix table, where we will get you checked in and send you to the ship!
• Enjoy food and drinks before departure.
• First time at Detroit Princess Riverboat? Check out the venue.

11:00am: Boarding begins, closing 10 minutes before departure

12:00pm: Boat departs on-time

12:15pm: Welcome remarks from Leadership

12:30pm: Catered lunch begins

2 :00pm: Cruise ends, return to dock

2:15pm: Passengers begin departing

2:30pm: Concludes event

Important Notes:

• Registration closes June 25 at 12:00pm sharp.
• Number of Guests: 1 (alum + 1 guest = 2 tickets)
• Alcohol is available for purchase, but not included.
• Consider wearing casual attire that is informal and comfortable, yet clean and professional for your afternoon on the water. We invite you to wear any UOPX shirts or red and black colored clothing.
• Enjoy the water as we cruise on the Detroit River and view some of the city’s sites like the downtown areas of both Detroit and our neighbors in Windsor.

Parking & Walking Directions

• Parking is available using GPS address of corner of Bates and Atwater Streets, Detroit, MI 48226 to get to the area. Turn right onto Bates Street from E Jefferson just past Hart Plaza. Before you get to the stop sign at Atwater Street, turn left into the LAZ Parking Garage entrance, signs at the corner.
• When you park, you will get a parking slip upon entry to pay with card when leaving. After parking, step outside and across Atwater Street to the RiverWalk, next to the Police Station. Once on the RiverWalk, you will see the Detroit Princess, a 2-3 minute walk away.
• Alternate parking is available on the Huntington Place Roof Deck, located at 625 W Congress St, Detroit, MI 48226 at $20.00 per vehicle by credit card only. Drive across the roof to Elevator 3, take down to the Atrium Lobby, step outside and cross Atwater Street to the boat about 100 feet away.
