About this Event

"DET by Larb Swangin Brain Turn" runs from September 23rd to October 18th at Northern Virginia Community College’s AFA Gallery. The exhibition showcases photogrammetry to explore themes of home, family, and friends. This work is a continuation of the artist's vision after a severe stroke in 2022, which left him with aphasia, or loss of language. Through cutting-edge digital techniques, the work reflects on how trauma reshapes personal connections and familiar spaces.
