Rosanna Arquette plays Roberta Glass, a suburban New Jersey housewife whose fascination with a personal ad in a newspaper propels her into an unexpected urban adventure. As Roberta embraces the mistaken identity, she tumbles into intrigue involving missing earrings, run-ins with a shady figure, and encounters with Susan’s circle of eclectic downtown characters. Set against the backdrop of 1980s New York’s gritty, vibrant East Village, the film pulses with neon-lit thrift stores, underground clubs, and vintage mystique.
