Come join me on March 28 in this sacred ceremony taught to me by the Pampamesayok of the Apaza lineage. In addition, to a beautiful and grounding Mama Cacao Ceremony lead by Elaine Rodriguez. In Andean shamanic tradition, an Ayni Despacho also known as a "Ayni Hayhuaricuy" in Quechua is performed with the intention of restoring right relationship with the natural world, fostering a sense of union, harmony, and reciprocity with nature.
In these times of profound change, it may feel as though the world is out of balance. The structures and paradigms we once relied on are breaking down, paving the way for new, more holistic systems to emerge. This is a moment of great opportunity to restore balance in our lives through ceremonies like the Ayni Despacho.
For centuries, the paqos, or high shamans and wisdom keepers of the Q’ero lineage in Peru, have used the Ayni Despacho ceremony as a way to reconnect with the natural world. Central to their worldview is the belief that the universe is inherently benevolent, only seeming harsh when we are out of balance. They understand that the world reflects our own state of ayni, or right relationship. Returning to ayni allows the universe to work in our favor again, restoring the flow of synchronicity.
In ceremonies like the Ayni Despacho, we engage with our soul’s deepest energies. A despacho is akin to a mandala or sacred creation, filled with symbolic elements and the prayers of the participants. As the shamans add these elements, the energy in the space rises, and the despacho becomes a living prayer, facilitating shifts in energy and healing.
