Designing for Democracy: Part II

We had so much fun in February that we want to see you again! Join us for the second part of Designing for Democracy!

At our last event on February 26th, we heard from five incredible practitioners about how they incorporate democracy into their work. Now, we’re taking the conversation a step further.

We'll meet up at Human Robot where, over great brews (both alcoholic and NA available, as well as gluten free options), we’ll dive into the tangible aspects of designing for democracy—exploring how physical spaces, design choices, and urban elements can either promote or hinder democratic participation. Together, we’ll build a "Designing for Democracy Wishlist"—a running list of must-have design elements for a more inclusive, participatory world.

No design experience needed! This will be a collaborative, informal discussion where we draw on personal experiences and how places make us feel—because everyone has a perspective on the spaces we share.

Plus, this conversation will set the stage for Part 3, where we’ll roll up our sleeves and put these ideas into action through an actual design session.
