Design Your Own Art Piece Workshop

Step into Le Studio Anthost, a textile atelier in the heart of Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and spend a few hours creating something completely your own. No experience or artistic background is required, just curiosity and a willingness to play with color and texture!
In this workshop, you will discover Paint with Wool — a signature technique created by textile artist Astrid. Inspired by the freedom of painting, this technique uses a multi-needle tool, punching wool directly into a textile in short, rhythmic strokes, building color, pattern, and texture layer by layer — the way a painter would fill a canvas, but entirely using wool.
You will start by choosing your motif and your wool colors from a curated selection. Then, guided by Astrid, you will learn how to use the multi-needle tool and work the wool into the fabric until your pattern takes shape. The process is rhythmic and meditative, so you can relax while crafting. What starts as a blank linen canvas gradually becomes a one-of-a-kind textile piece, fully decorated and designed entirely by you.
