Design Thinking: Step by Step Process to Transform any Idea Into a Product

Have an amazing idea and not sure how to develop it? Come to this course and learn about some fundamental steps that you need to take to transform your idea into a worthy product or service. Avoid the pitfalls that many entrepreneurs make when they believe they have thought of the next big idea. Through experience, many entrepreneurs have realized that an idea will always stay a dream unless you work hard and have a plan to make it a reality. In this class, students will learn that regardless of the budget situation, success is possible if the aspiring entrepreneur is strategic in their approach. Success in business can be accomplished in many forms:

1. The idea is successfully transformed into a product or solution

2. Realizing there is no real need in the market for your idea early on before investing too much money

3. By going through a strategic process, the entrepreneur finds and shifts their focus(pivots) onto a new idea that is market feasible before exhausting their budget

In this class, you will learn how to apply industry proven processes such as design thinking to convert your game changing idea into a solution that has a chance of success in our competitive market. You will learn a step-by-step process to develop and validate your idea with minimal investment. As you advance in the process, you will incrementally validate your idea, determine customer needs, test feasibility, and design your solution. This approach means the investment of your budget will also incrementally increase throughout the process. This process will ensure you constantly check in and decide to proceed by asking a few questions:

1. Will I need to make small adjustments to the solution?

2. Am I chasing the right problem/solution?

4. Should I completely abandon the idea that I originally thought was the idea of a lifetime?

Checking in with these questions will make sure you optimize your limited budget in chasing your dream product.
