Design as (Programmed) Art

Join us on Friday, September 12, for an exclusive talk and double book launch celebrating the art and legacy of Bruno Munari, featuring three of the most influential designers, authors, and Munari experts of our time: David Reinfurt (Graphic Designer, Lecturer at Princeton University), Jeffrey Schnapp (Designer, Founder and Faculty Director of metaLAB at Harvard), and Jason Fulford (Photographer and Graphic Designer).

The evening marks the release of Design as (Programmed) Art (Corraini) and the first English edition of Munari’s classic Design and Visual Communication (Inventory Press), and takes place in conjunction with the namesake exhibition at MoMA PS1 during the Printed Matter Art Book Fair.

This three-way dialogue will shed new light on Munari’s multifaceted and enduring body of work—exploring the many ways in which he shaped visual language through forms, colors, signs, typography, and images, continuing to influence contemporary practice nowadays.
