This will be our 21st Annual Candlelight Vigil! Can you believe it? The theme this year is "Silence Hides Violence!"October is designated as Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) with the Candlelight Vigil being one of our premier commemorative events.
The Vigil consists of two parts. The first is a march from the Barstow Courthouse, down Barstow Rd, and to our complex on 7th & Main St. The second part will consist of a program that will include music, inspiration and culminating with an emotional candle lighting allowing our guests to honor, celebrate or commemorate Domestic Violence (DV) victims, their children and those who work tirelessly to advocate and heal them.
The Covid Pandemic forced us to hold a virtual Candlelight Vigil last year, but this year we'll be able to gather in person! The Vigil will be a hybrid of in-person and Facebook Live.
NEW INFO UPDATE!
We will be welcoming the San Bernardino County District Attorney Jason Anderson to our event! He, along with some of his staff, will be participating in our vigil! Early in DA Anderson's career he prosecuted Domestic violence and Child Abuse cases so her really has a passion for our causes!
