Des Was a Bowie Fan at Walthamstow Trades Hall

The Des Was a Bowie Fan clubnight returns to London Town and E17 on Friday July 24th. Indiepop, new wave, post-punk, 60s Pop and Northern Soul dancing all night long in the upstairs loveshack at the Walthamstow Trades Hall.
The Shangri-Las to The Smiths, Blondie and Belle and Sebastian, Dusty Springfield to Depeche Mode, Roy Orbison to The Raincoats, The Velvet Underground to Veronica Falls, Al Wilson to Aztec Camera, Martha and the Vandellas to The Magnetic Fields, Jimmy Ruffin to David Bowie, with a sweet underlay of 1950s and '60s heartbreak. 8pm till 1am.
Upstairs at the Trades Hall, with its miniature cabaret-style stage and dancefloor and old seating in the fashion of the social clubs, makes for a great atmosphere. But please be aware that it is limited to 60 capacity. We'd recommend grabbing tickets as early as possible.
