Des Moines Women's Personal Protection Class

Join us for a women's personal protection class designed to equip you with practical skills and strategies to assist in increasing your chances of staying out of or getting away from a volatile situation . Led by experienced instructors, this course focuses on teaching effective techniques for self-protection, situational awareness, and assertiveness.

Based on using little or no type of typical "weapon", the focus of this class is on situational awareness, and using common personal items and basic hand to hand teqhniques to protect yourself. Our goal is to help participants learn to get out of or stay out of volatile situations, not to hurt or K*ll anyone. Don't miss this opportunity to prioritize your safety and confidence.

We will discuss FBI statistics and what inmates have stated they look for in a victim.

Please wear casual clothing - what you would normally wear on an evening out. If you don't typically live in workout wear, don't wear it. The point is for participants to be comfortable practicing the techniques in what they normally wear.

Questions are welcome and specific questions can be addressed.

Meet Grandmaster Ray Boyer. Ray received his Shodan (1st dgree black belt) in Tai-Tsu Do in 1984 and a Nican (2nd degree black belt) in 1985 by Sensei Suzuki. Ray was the officer in charge for all security for the Oklahoma bombing trial. He has performed executive protection for high profile individuals and was a Reserve Urbandale Police Officer.
