Des Moines Water Works Drinking Water Week afternoon tour1

Take a behind-the-scenes look at how Des Moines Water Works, Iowa's largest drinking water utility, makes clean, reliable drinking water for 600,000 central Iowans.

This event is for ages 12 and older. Attendees will check in with the security guard upon arrival and show photo identification (for those 18 and older). Tickets are required for all attendees.

The tour involves walking in a plant environment and outside conditions. Comfortable walking shoes and appropriate clothing for both indoors and outdoors are required.

No photography or videography is allowed inside the treatment plant facilities.
