Join OCD Iowa for our second annual Des Moines One Million Steps for OCD Walk!One Million Steps for OCD Walk is an annual event that brings together members of the OCD and related disorders community nationwide to challenge stigma, raise funds, and create awareness about what it really means to have obsessive compulsive disorder.
Our second annual Des Moines One Million Steps for OCD Walk will take place on Sunday, September 8th, 2024 at Gray’s Lake Park in Des Moines, Iowa. Check-in and registration start at 12:00pm, and the walk is set to begin at 1:00pm. We will have food, drinks, and lawn games.
Last year, our inaugural walk had 100 participants and raised over $3,200. This year, we aim for at least 250 walkers and have a fundraising goal of $5,000. Please join us as we raise awareness for OCD in our community, and help us to reach our goals!

12:00pm: Check-in and registration
1:00pm: Opening ceremonies and OCD Walk begins
Route: We will walk a 2.1 mile loop along Gray's Lake Kruidenier Trail, starting at the SE parking lot and traveling west across the Gray's Lake Bridge and around the lake.
Parking: There are several parking lots around Gray's Lake. We suggest using the main Gray's Lake entrance on Fleur Drive and following the road around the North and East side(s) of the lake to the SE parking lot.
