Led by Jools Holland’s lead saxophonist for 20 years, multi-award winner Derek is arguably the busiest jazz musician in the UK today. One of the most enthusiastic and engaging performers around, he's also one of the hottest, funkiest saxophone players on the scene
Aside from fronting his groups, and co-leading The Wonder of Stevie with Noel McCalla, he’s regularly performed, recorded and guested with a diverse range of artists, including Eric Clapton, Booker T., Sir Paul McCartney, Mezzoforte, Sir Tom Jones, Amy Winehouse, Jack Bruce, Bob Dorough, Rumer, David Benoit, Ernie Watts, Nelson Rangell, Don and Dave Grusin, and Shakatak.
Organist Jim Watson has worked with Kurt Elling, Sting, Incognito, former AWB front man Hamish Stuart, Manu Katche, and the BBC Radio Big Band and is a regular in Guy Barker's band, while drummer George Double has worked with Dame Shirley Bassey, Grammy Award winner Jack Jones, Marc Almond, Mica Paris, Ruthie Henshall, and Kym Mazelle..
