Tale a tour of Ahwatukee with DER!We'll warm up on the Pecos Path, then exit and start tackling some hills! We'll cover approximately 37 miles with 1320 ft of gain. Give the climb up Shaughnessey a try! Then we will head back and wind throughout the city before heading back to the parking lot.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes early and prepare to be wheels down by 0800
We will meet in the first set of parking spaces when you first turn into the 40th Street Park and Ride (look for the blue Ford Escape). There are restrooms nearby at a gas station, and a water fountain at the P&R - but please plan ahead because we won't be riding over to the gas station.
We will stop and regroup at turns, but be familiar with the course which can be seen here:

To ensure a safe and enjoyable ride, please come prepared with the following:
• A well-maintained bicycle
• A helmet (mandatory)
• A rear, flashing red light (mandatory)
• Water bottles and snacks (mandatory)
• A charged cell phone in case of emergency (mandatory)
• Appropriate cycling attire
• Sunscreen and sunglasses are highly recommended
• A positive attitude and willingness to work hard and have fun!
