Join us at Matchstick Piehouse for the Deptford start! Come and join in completely naked or bare what you dare!The main aims of the ride are:
- to protest against the global dependency on oil
- curb car culture
- obtain real rights for cyclists
- demonstrate the vulnerability of cyclists on city streets
- celebrate body freedom and body positivity
The Deptford start takes ride participants through South East London, before joining other ride groups, further towards to the centre of London. We had a great time in past years and we're confident that it will be another fun, safe, respectful and naked protest! A lovely team of WNBR marshals will greet you and lead you on the ride.
Matchstick Piehouse is a multi-arts venue (check out their other events!) and for the Deptford start, they will be open from 12:30, serving pies and drinks (both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages). There is space to get changed and also toilets.
At 13:45 we will assemble for the ride and at 14:00, we ride!
We also remind you that we want the WNBR to be a safe ride and protest for all. It is important that all riders feels safe and welcome. Remember to ask permission before taking a photo of someone or including anyone in your photos. In addition, harassment, hate speech of any kind, body shaming or non-consensual touching of other riders will not be tolerated. You will be asked to leave the ride and will be banned from future WNBR rides and events.
