DEPOT returns featuring resident Reso djs and special guest Barbie Aphelion.You may know Barbie for her doll-centric, diva-fied party sets around Victoria, but many are unaware of her Aphelion project.
Aphelion, the point in an orbit where a body is farthest from the sun, is a moniker that reflects a style of techno shaped by her travels in Spain and her life in NYC’s underground. Her sound is often ethereal, cyclical, and expansive.
She has performed at Brooklyn venues and raves like Bossa Nova, Mood Ring, Jupiter Disco, and Twice as Proper. Recently, in Victoria, she opened Wonderment-at-Night (VEC) with a warm, dubby and brooding extended set.
She recently returned to Victoria with a large library of music recovered from her NYC storage locker. She’s excited to bring you into her orbit with deep textures and trippy, droning ear candy.
Join us as we dive into the deep end on the first Friday of November.
