Dental Assistant Training Information Session

Trained Dental Assistants are currently in high demand in Michigan. Oakland Community College's Dental Assistant training is 14 weeks long at our Southfield campus, Monoseta C. Burwell DMD Family and Cosmetic Dentistry in Lathrup Village, and other dental employer partners in metro Detroit. In this training, you will learn basic dental terminology and anatomy, fundamentals of dental assisting, restorative and preventative dentistry, and more! Students will end with a Dental Radiography certification through the Michigan Dental Association (MDA), a BLS certification, and an OCC Certificate of Completion. After completing the training and working 3,500 hours under a Dentist, students can sit for the Registered Dental Assistant National Board Exam (DANB).
