Dennisur Farm Tour & Chef Demo

On July 13th, at 10:30 AM, join Slow Food Atlanta for an extra special day at Dennisur Farms. We will spend the early afternoon touring Delroy Dennisur’s lush and vibrant Powder Springs farm, followed by a food demo and light bites, provided by Chef Julia LeRoy. From ingredients harvested right there on the farm, Julia will show you how to work with the full bounty of the season, incorporating a variety of techniques that will empower you to feel more confident in your own seasonally minded cooking. We will also have a short discussion about farming and the farm bill, as well as an opportunity to plant a seed and take it with you.

All the proceeds from this event support Slow Food Atlanta Chapter.

What you need to know

• This is a family-friendly event.
• Tickets are $30 for members and $35 for non-members.
• We’re also offering a sliding scale on pay-what-you-can tickets. From the Eventbrite page, click on “Get Tickets” and scroll down to “Donations” to contribute what you’re able.
• We encourage you to bring something to drink to enjoy alongside your light bite. Water will be provided.
• This is an outdoor event. In the case of inclement weather, we will reschedule the event on a different date and honor all ticket purchases.
