Dennis Jones is a Los Angeles bluesman who plays it hard, loud, and straight from the gut. Born in Monkton, Maryland in 1958 and raised on his parents' B.B. King and Bobby Bland records, he took up guitar at thirteen and never looked back. He earned his stripes alongside Zac Harmon in the Mid-South Revue, a run that peaked when the group won first place at the 2004 International Blues Challenge.
Over eight albums on his own Blue Rock Records, from "Falling Up" to "About Time," Jones has opened for Johnny Winter, Buddy Guy, and Dick Dale and shared bills across Europe. In 2023 the Jus Blues Awards handed him the Bobby Rush Entertainer Award for his musicianship, and one night behind his power trio makes the reason obvious.
