About this Event

2025 and 2026 mark significant years for Denmark on the global stage. Denmark held the Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of 2025, has taken a seat on the United Nations Security Council, and in 2026 assumes the Chairmanship of the Arctic Council together with Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

What do these roles mean for the relationship between Denmark and the United Kingdom in an increasingly complex geopolitical environment? How might developments in the Arctic—including growing US interest in Greenland and strengthened European cooperation, not least through recent security arrangements with the UK shape Denmark’s priorities and position? And what role can the Embassy in London play in advancing this agenda.

Join us for an insightful evening at the Danish Embassy in London, where these topics will be explored by the Danish Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Kristina Miskowiak Beckvard, and Europe Correspondent, TV2 Danmark Jesper Steinmetz

The event is hosted in collaboration with the Danish Embassy in London and Djøf
