On April 26th we're asking the UW campus community to join millions of people across the world to wear denim with a purpose on Denim Day.Denim Day is a nationally and internationally recognized movement to bring awareness to sexual assault and dating violence. Sexual assault and dating violence can lead to elevated medical and counseling costs, legal fees and many other financial obligations that a survivor must endure.
You can support this cause by posting a picture in denim with the hashtag #CowboysWearDenim, signing up for a Green Dot training on campus or making a donation to the Survivor Emergency Fund, a fund used to help student survivors remain in school and complete their degree. You can also join us in the Union and Simpson's Plaza for tabling events and giveaways from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.!
