Starting a business can feel exciting, confusing, and sometimes overwhelming. Where do you begin? What support is available? And how do other entrepreneurs move from an idea to an operating business?

Demystifying Entrepreneurship is a welcoming introduction for anyone who has ever considered creating a business of their own—even if the idea is still taking shape.

You will hear from a panel of five local business owners representing different stages of the entrepreneurial journey:

• Two early-stage startups
• Two growing or scaling businesses
• One established business

Panelists will share candid perspectives on how they got started, what they learned, the challenges they encountered, and the resources that helped them move forward.

You will also meet representatives from local organizations that support entrepreneurs, including the Northeast Indiana Innovation Community, Brightpoint, SCORE Northeast Indiana, and SEED Fort Wayne. Attendees will learn how these organizations can provide guidance, education, mentoring, connections, and other forms of support.

This event is for you if you:

• Have an idea for a business but are unsure what to do next
• Are exploring entrepreneurship as a possible career path
• Want to turn a skill, interest, or side project into something more
• Have recently started a business and want to learn about local resources
• Are simply curious about what entrepreneurship really involves

No business plan, pitch, or prior experience is required. Bring your questions and curiosity.
