Demonstration and Artist Talk - Ruby Bellows Tintype
This event is free and open to the public.
Founded in 2018, Sheena Dorton set out to bring back something long forgotten to time. With an eye for stunning portraits and a knack for old photographic chemistry, Sheena has become a major figure in all things involving wetplate photography. She loves to mix a modern aesthetic with vintage heirloom nostalgia to create unique and bespoke one-of-a-kind portraits.
Using a lens from the 1860's, Sheena has photographed all walks of life in her studio and on site for many projects and assisted Sarah Coulter with major film productions including "1883” and “Lawmen: Bass Reeves”. With the demand for the hand held old fashioned 19th century portraits, Sheena always has something new and exciting to capture in silver.
