ROCK TEXAS, ROCK THE VOTE!
What? Folk art meets civic engagement! Please join us for this ongoing visibility campaign that is fun, creative and impactful.
Why? Spend time with neighbors talking, laughing and connecting while painting rocks with messages that inspire, educate, and shine a light on the constitutional rights and protections that belong to all of us.
The Details? Together we will paint hundreds of colorful rocks with inspiring messages about democracy and the importance of voting. Then, about 6 weeks before the midterms, we will "plant" the rocks in high traffic pedestrian areas in our communities. Each rock will become a small piece of public folk art that sparks curiosity and encourages people to vote.
NOTE: WE SUPPLY PAINT, PAINT PENS, BRUSHES, SEALER. PLEASE BRING A ROCK OR TWO TO PAINT FIST SIZE AND BIGGER IS BEST
*This is appropriate for adults and children aged 7 and older.
