Democracy In Action (DIA) is the signature event and largest annual fundraiser of the League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Columbus. Each year, we gather to celebrate individuals whose leadership and civic commitment strengthen our community and our democracy.
Funds raised through Democracy In Action support the League’s nonpartisan work across Central Ohio, including providing trusted voter information, hosting candidate forums and educational programs, registering voters, protecting voting rights, and advocating for good government.
This year, we are proud to honor Kathy and Fred Ransier for their lifelong dedication to community service and civic engagement. Throughout their careers, they have generously given their time and leadership to numerous civic, educational, and nonprofit organizations, helping to strengthen institutions and expand opportunity in our community.
Join us on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at The Fawcett Center for an evening of celebration, community, and impact.
