We’re excited to announce that we’re partnering with Solstice Books to bring you Democracy after Dark, a unique, non-partisan open mic storytelling event.
Everyone has a story to tell.
At our core, we all have stories that shape the choices we make and the paths we choose to walk -- especially when the wellbeing of our loved ones, our communities, and what we hold dear, is at stake. In today's world, with all of its nuances and complications, how often do we take time to truly connect and share these stories with our neighbors?
Join Solstice Books and the Alaska Center Education Fund, on Friday, Sept. 25 from 6-8 p.m. at 721 2nd Ave., for an intimate and nonpartisan open-mic storytelling gathering. We'll start the evening off by hearing from Fairbanks civic leaders and activists alike about their journeys into civic and community leadership. Then the floor opens up to members of our community to share their stories and inspirations, too.
