Demo Night: Chair Caning

We encourage you to bring your own chair in need of caning to this demo.

The instructor will talk through the steps involved in hand caning a chair seat. We’ll go over tools and supplies, including how to measure and order correct cane size.

She’ll demonstrate the basic technique and then discuss the fine points of adjusting to differing shapes using chairs brought by participants.

There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion.

Our instructor, Cheryl, has years of experience in chair caning and upholstery which she does in the winters while working as a gardener in the summer.

Tickets are transferable to another person and only refundable if we have people on the waiting list who can take your spot. Please make sure this date works with your schedule.
