Demetruest hails from the southside of Chicago and comes from a lively and musical family - he is a singer, songwriter, rapper, vocal producer, and visual artist crafting magical, future-classic soundscapes for those whove ever felt unseen. Rooted in soul, R the queer kid in the back row, the overachiever too afraid to ask for help, the dreamer who learned to disappear. For Demetruest, music isnt just a sound its a portal. Each layered harmony, synth pad, or bassline becomes a tool for remembering their younger self and helping others do the same.Their 2024 EP They All Kept Moving While I Stood Still (TAKMWISS), is a magical invitation to slow down in a world that glorifies constant motion and productivity.
