Dementia Disco Marple
About this Event
A free disco for people living with dementia, their carers, family and friends. Children are welcome too.
Dementia Disco is a registered charity (1206477) that runs regular discos across Greater Manchester. This is our Marple disco, organised by local volunteers with CareYourWay.
What to expect
- A warm welcome: a volunteer will greet you, give you a name badge and help you find a comfortable seat.
- Music and dancing: our DJ takes requests all evening. Dance if you want to, or sit back and enjoy it. Our volunteers are happy to join you on the dance floor.
- A free buffet meal, usually served after the first 30 minutes, with hotpot or a selection of sandwiches and soup.
- Free tea and coffee all evening. Other drinks can be bought from the club bar.
- A fundraising raffle. Tickets are sold on the day, cash only.
- Time to sit, relax and chat with other carers and families who understand.
