Dementia Caregiving 101 is an educational program for caregivers to learn what to expect when caring for loved ones with dementia
About this Event

The Smith Alzheimer's Center at SIU Medicine is hosting an eight-session caregiver support program, designed to equip family caregivers of individuals still living at home. Each week, this class will explore different topics on how best to care for someone with memory loss. You may sign up for all eight sessions, or just the sessions of interest to you.

This week, the session topics are:

  • Meaningful activities
  • Beyond the Medical Center programs at the Smith Alzheimer's Center
  • Brain nutrition & the MIND Diet

Please note that registering for this week does not register you for other weekly sessions. Once the other sessions and their topics have been finalized, visit the Dementia Caregiving 101 collection page to see all weeks and their agendas.

Thank you for your interest in Dementia Caregiving 101!

Special thanks to the Illinois Women in Leadership’s Community Health Giving Circle for their support of Dementia Caregiving 101.
