All are welcome to peacefully and respectfully gather to share information on the proposed re-designation of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area to a National Park.
The Delaware Water Gap Defense Fund opposes this re-designation unless and until a plan is released to the public for review and comment. We are looking for transparency, impact statements, and hard data. We seek to peacefully bridge the gap of transparency between the people and our government, so that we may all move forward with an understanding of realistic expectations.
So far, the following counties and townships are in agreement with our position and have passed resolutions to OPPOSE the re-designation of the DWGNRA to a National Park until more information is disclosed to the public for review and comment:
Sussex County
Warren County
Montague Twp
Sandyston Twp
Hampton Twp
Stillwater Twp
Shohola Twp
Dingmans Twp
We meet on April 30th 12-4pm at Milford Beach. Free, no parking fee.
