Delapre Abbey Picnic in the Park

When: 23rd August 11am- 2pm

Where: Meet at Student Village Reception at Waterside to walk together or meet by the Car Park in Delapre Abbey, NN4 8AW

To Travel by Bus: Take the Number 19 bus to Old Towcester Road stop, walk along London Road and take a left into Delapre Abbey

During the day, we shall have a number of outdoor games available for students to use. You can also explore the area, visiting the flower garden or lakes.

We welcome students to bring a picnic lunch.

Cash/Card will be needed if you wish to purchase food at the Café or from the gift shop.

Instructions:

Two ticket types are available.

If you wish to travel with a member of Residential Life please ensure you book the 11am ticket and meet at the Student Village Reception. Please note that it is 30-40minute walk from Waterside Campus.

If you wish to make your own to Delapre Abbey, Residential Life will be opposite the car park at 11.30am.

You are welcome to arrive anytime after 11.30am, stay as long or as little as you like.

Directions:

Public Transport: From Northgate Bus Station in town, Take the Number 19 bus to Old Towcester Road stop, walk along London Road and take a left into Delapre Abbey.

The Number 19 UNO Bus is linked to the university. You will be able to show your Student ID card or Bus Pass to travel. You will need to purchase ticket from the bus provider if taking public transport.

Car: Use post code: NN4 8AW. A Car park is available and free of charge.

Walk: From Waterside Campus, walk along New South Bridge Road towards ASDA. Turn left onto Cotton End along London Road. The entrance to Delapre Abbey will be on your left.

On booking a ticket, you agree to represent the University and understand that the student code of conduct and terms of residency extend to this external event.

Each individual is responsible for their own health and belongings. The university does not take liability for any loss or injury.

Once registered, an emergency contact and next of kin form shall be sent. This needs to be completed by 9am on the 20th August otherwise your place shall be cancelled.

The university has a right to withdraw your ticket for health and safety purposes. You will be notified of this in writing.
