Love them or hate them, you can’t ignore them. Join MJ Corey, creator of the viral Kardashian Kolloquium, in conversation with Emily Schario about Dekonstructing the Kardashians, the first in-depth critical exploration of one of the most powerful pop culture phenomena of our time.

Part media theory, part cultural analysis, the conversation explores what the meteoric rise of the Kardashian empire can teach us about celebrity, social media, influence, and the rapidly changing way media shapes our culture.

MJ Corey is a Brooklyn-based writer and psychodynamic psychotherapist best known as Kardashian Kolloquium on TikTok and Instagram, where she applies media theory and postmodern frameworks to the Kardashian family. Her work has been featured in Refinery29, PAPER, Vogue.com, the Museum of Modern Art, and The New Yorker, among many other outlets.

Emily Schario is the head of content and director of multimedia storytelling for The B-Side, a weekday newsletter for young Bostonians covering everything from Beacon Hill to Bennifer. As B-Side’s co-founder, she helped create the brand from the ground up, growing the product to nearly 50,000 newsletter subscribers and 80,000 followers across Instagram and TikTok.
