Charysse Tia Harper is an accomplished documentarian whose work bridges cultures and challenges perspectives. As a dual citizen of the United States and Trinidad & Tobago, her films reflect a rich cultural tapestry, from the award-winning "The Other Side of Carnival" to "Panomundo," a two-part exploration of steelpan music's evolution.

In 2010, Harper founded Xplore the World, channeling her passion for storytelling into a mission to showcase diverse narratives. During the Covid-19 lockdown, she created The Jill of the Trade (2021), spotlighting women breaking barriers in male-dominated industries worldwide. Currently based in London, Harper is developing Las Matadoras into a feature-length documentary, continuing her dedication to amplifying underrepresented voices.
