Before the Uniform. Beyond the Rank. Who Are YOU?
Before you served, you were someone.
During your service, you learned, adapted, accomplished, experienced, and perhaps questioned things about yourself.
And whether you're still serving or have transitioned into civilian life, there may be parts of your identity you've never had the opportunity to explore.
Who were you before military service?
Who did you learn to become during your service?
And who are you beyond the roles, expectations, and experiences that have shaped your life?
Welcome to Defined, Undefined, & Unwritten™: Beyond the Uniform, Women Veterans Edition.
This is a clinically informed, interactive exploration experience created specifically for women who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
More Than a Uniform. More Than a Title.
Military service can influence how we understand responsibility, leadership, relationships, identity, and expectations.
But service is only one part of a woman's story.
There were experiences, beliefs, relationships, and expectations that shaped you before enlistment. There are identities you carry alongside your military experience. And there may be parts of yourself you are still discovering.
This experience invites you to examine those layers.
Not because something is wrong.
Not because you need to become someone different.
Because there is value in becoming more aware of who you are and how you came to understand yourself.
What Will We Explore?
Through guided reflection, interactive exercises, and conversation, we'll consider:
- Before Service: The roles, beliefs, relationships, and expectations that shaped your identity before enlistment.
- During Service: How military experiences, responsibilities, rank, leadership, and service culture may have influenced your understanding of yourself.
- Beyond Service: The identities, interests, relationships, and possibilities that exist beyond military roles, whether you are currently serving or have transitioned out.
- Personal Awareness: Recognizing which definitions of yourself you've embraced, questioned, or outgrown.
- Discovery & Growth: Considering what you may still want to explore, develop, or define for yourself.
Your Experience. Your Choice.
You will not be required to discuss deployments, traumatic experiences, military separation, or personal circumstances.
You decide what you share.
This is not a therapy group, a trauma-processing session, or a military transition program.
It's an opportunity to explore identity beyond any single role.
