About This Event

Join Greater Manchester Friends of Palestine and key speakers to address the urgent crisis facing communities in the West Bank.

Masafer Yatta, a cluster of villages in the occupied South Hebron Hills, is facing the imminent threat of state-sponsored displacement and ethnic cleansing. Over 1,000 residents are at risk of being forcibly removed from their ancestral homes. This event is a critical call to action and a chance to hear firsthand testimonies from the frontlines.

Discover what actions you can take to defend communities under attack.

Key Speakers:
  • Mohammed Tamimi (via HIRN): We are honored to welcome Mohammed Tamimi, director of the Hebron International Resource Network (HIRN). HIRN works directly with embattled and isolated communities across the West Bank, providing material support, legal aid, and visibility. Come hear firsthand about HIRN's vital work and the day-to-day challenges faced by Palestinians under occupation.
  • Codie (Protective Presence): Hear from Codie, who recently returned from Masafer Yatta with an international group providing a protective presence. International solidarity and monitoring are crucial tools in deterring military violence and supporting Palestinian steadfastness (Sumud). Codie will share insights on the reality of providing this presence and the impact it has on the ground.
