Deep Winter 2025 overview

Intentions and outcomes for this class

• An understanding of how to work with a plant world spiritually
• Rituals you can use to work with the plant world spiritually
• Learn to make medicines, tea, essences, tincture’s and more
• Herbal crafts, incense, sachets, and more
• Spiritual tools, poppets, talismans, altar items
• Connection to other like-minded folks

I invite you to join me in a series of workshops aimed at connecting to our Plant relatives and each other in a deeper way.Lets get to know and work with the Spirits (Devas) of the plant world!In this series, we will explore a few chosen Plants' life and death cycles, giving and receiving cycles, and get to know the plant person-hood.

From seed to table, tea to pillow, and back to Earth, we will learn and practice plant allyship, medicine, and spirituality through Ritual, group reflection and study, medicine making and testing, herbal and witch crafts.Each class will be an investment of $153 with a sliding scale available upon request.

Folks are invited to pay in advance or break it up into smaller payments.
For in-person classes, I will provide a Community Cook dinner of soup, salad and bread.

Historically, the beginning of winter is a time of celebration for humans living in the Northern part of the Hemisphere.

The snow is fluffy, so the going is easy, the harvest is in and still relatively fresh, we are still in the place of abundance.

There is still enough to share with our friends and neighbors. It is a time to take into consideration what folks around us may need to get through the deep winter and give freely from where we have extra. Jams, honey, health elixirs and teas, gifts of health and wellness abound.

The Plants are giving as well.

Seeds are being offered to their Bird and rodent relatives, who greedily eat them up, and spread the seeds in their scat. The remainder of the leaves from Oak fall to create layers of snow and leaves to burrow under.

Early Winter is the giving time.

The winding down of the holiday season brings the ice-snow. The snow that is sharp to the touch, falls are hard, the storehouses are getting leaner, and we prepare the long haul to spring.

This is the time for resting.

This is the time to connect with the plants in a different way.

This is the praying and dreaming time.

It's a good time to meet Valerian.
