Deepening Into Refuge: A Morning With Erin TreatIN PERSON & ON ZOOM
Join us for a practice-oriented morning, an invitation to turn toward the momentary experience of refuge, which deepens and enlivens as we practice dharma. Sensing into the possibility of living with greater refuge is often what brings us to the path. And as our direct experience of natural awareness deepens, refuge becomes a sacred presence that grows more brightly within the moments that hold our lives.
Refuge holds us like a good, wise friend as we live in relationship with the refuges of Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. In these times of racial reckoning, climate catastrophe, and the reality of living in our world with a tender human heart, we need refuge to stay resourced and responsive. We need refuge to begin again—and to keep turning to the silence and stillness that lives beneath the stress of the thinking mind. In this offering, we will explore refuge as a concept, as a practice of both devotion and recognition, and as a mysterious dimension of the human experience.
Our morning together will include meditation in the hall (or on Zoom) with instruction, walking meditation outdoors, dharma reflections, and an opportunity for sharing and questions. All are welcome, from newer meditators to longtime practitioners.
COST: Sliding scale of $25, $40 or $55. Scholarships are available
