Deepavali Art StudioSpecial Chai Time with Crystal Bridges
Ra-Ve Cultural Foundation, in collaboration with Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, is excited to celebrate Deepavali (also called Diwali), the Indian festival of lights.
Together, we’ll watch the story of Deepavali through a live “Yakshagana” performance, a traditional Indian theater style that combines music, dance, and storytelling. We'll also get creative with hands-on activities of traditional Indian “Diya” (lamp) with clay and other festive Indian crafts and designs to share associated with the holiday.
Local artists from our community will join us, and we invite all school children and families from across Northwest Arkansas to participate. As always, we’ll share some sweet treats to mark the occasion.
