CHB Lafayette and UL Lafayette’s Creative Writing department’s Deep South Writers Series are hosting a reading, Q&A, and signing with Marianne Chan at 7 p.m. on Jan. 29!Marianne is an award-winning poet who grew up in Stuttgart, Germany, and Lansing, Michigan. Her work *All Heathens* is a declaration of ownership and revisits her voyage around the world as she navigates her Filipino heritage. Her latest novel, *Leaving Biddle City*, is a coming-of-age narrative that navigates intergenerational conflict, racial alienation, and memory and forgetfulness.
