Introducing "Deep Rooted: A Day Retreat" – A Unique Blend of Yoga, Pottery, and Mindfulness
LACA is excited to announce a summer event, "Deep Rooted: A Day Retreat," an immersive experience that beautifully blends movement, meditation, and creation. This retreat is designed to help participants connect with their body, nature, and self, guiding them back to a natural state of ease and peace.
The event will kick off with a light and bright yoga class led by Raquel Rae. The next session will see participants pressing items from nature into clay to form dishes, bowls, and trays under the careful guidance of Rebekah Bramer.
A luncheon will follow, where Raquel will discuss mindfulness and the practice of 'momental meditation.' The day will culminate in an immersive Yoga Nidra & Sound Bath experience in LACA's performance hall, designed to bring the mind and body to a place of calm.
Deep Rooted will take place on Wednesday, June 19 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. This event requires preregistration, and participants must sign up 48 hours in advance. The registration fee, which includes all supplies and lunch from The Q Smoke House, is $125 for LACA Members and $140 for non-members. Register at ludingtonartscenter.org or call 231-845-2787.
We welcome all, regardless of yoga or meditation experience. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and bring a towel or yoga mat, and a cozy blanket for the yoga/sound bath.
